J for Joy A-Z April Challenge 2016

We all like to live our life to the fullest. But with the busy schedule these days one have its becoming more and more challenging to crave for some “me time”. Somewhere running behind chasing our dreams we have lost our ability to enjoy simple joys of life. Everyone wants to be successful, rich and have foreign vacations, but take a minute for yourself and think does that really make you happy?

Simple joys are the ones we can have anytime. It maybe to sing your favorite song, play with your kids, listening to their banter (mine can talk nonstop and kids have the most unusual observations) talk to a long lost friend, bunk office and maybe go for a movie, eat a nice lunch/ dinner. For me it’s like having my favorite breakfast, sleeping a little more, meeting a friend unplanned, sharing or buying food for the street urchins, making someone smile.

These simple things increase the value of life. They help us count our blessings and appreciate what we have achieved in life. Respect what we have been blessed with. Maybe when you see a less privileged one you would start valuing your place. Live life to the fullest, you never know what challenge, the next moment holds.

So make some time, be compassionate, smile more, laugh more, make friends, talk, share as these are simple joys that gives immense satisfaction.

  1. for me Joy is spending time with my kids! They have this knack of saying the most funny and witty things!

indeed, unless we see the less privileged, we don't understand how much we have to be thankful for!

  2. Joy is a relative term for each person. What makes me happy may not make someone else happy. We have to decide on finding joy in the little stories in our life and then we will find ourselves really happy. I liked your positive thoughts.

  3. Joy is definitely in the little things. We all look for some greater meaning, but life is really more about "moments."
